FACTS AND QUESTIONS:

PLACING YOUR BOOKING:

You may book any and all of our services online simply by clicking on the “Book” button and filling out the  easy reservation form.  If you prefer faxing an e-mail reservation simply print out the reservation form and fax it to our fax number.

Bookings over the phone are possible both from Italy after you've arrived or from overseas but be prepared to give us the necessary info to make and confirm your reservations.

Once we have received this information along with the services requested we will prepare and confirm your reservations sending you a copy.

RATES and CANCELLATION POLICY:

Our rates for private services are per vehicle and NOT per number of persons.  The rates with our English speaking driver tours and excursions are based on the specific vehicle service.
The rate of each tour or excursion will cost 50 Euro more per hour if a private tour guide is requested.

** We DO NOT CHARGE your credit card.  Credit card information is requested ONLY to guarantee your booking and will be charged only in case of “No shows” or for not canceling in due time.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS.

Payment are only in cash with Euro currency, USD's or with Euro Traveller's Cheques.
**Cancellations will only be charged if you fail to cancel your Shuttle or Private Transfer reservation(s) within 48 hours (2 days) prior to booked services.
Tours should be cancelled 72 hours (3 days) prior to the booked service.
With less than 72 hours (3 days), we reserve the right to charge the total payment as a “No Show Fee”.


IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT MEALS- CAFES (COFFEE SHOPS) - SHOPPING OR RELATED ISSUES.

Rome Limousines can not be held responsible and declines any responsibility of service or charges made by restaurants, cafes, souvenir stores or shops of any kind that you have chosen or have been suggested by third parties while being transferred or while on one of our tour excursions. It is your responsibility to view the list/ menu of products, food, drinks or other to be ordered. If the list with prices or menu are not available you should then ask for the prices directly to the person who is serving you and pay for what you've requested and received. If there is a complaint to be made of any kind it is to be done immediately to the waiter or owner of the souvenir store, restaurant, cafe or any other sort of shop involved.  Bob's Rome Limousines cannot be held responsible for over tipping a driver or for mistaken payments to shops or restaurants.  It is your responsibility to check the invoices before using your money for shopping, restaurants or whatever.

Terms of Use / Vehicles:

 If the vehicle that you requested is unavailable a similar vehicle will be provided.

ENTRANCE FEES AND MEALS:

Our rates never include entrance fees, private guides or meals unless specifically mentioned on your Reservation Form. We can offer ONLY pre-booked Reservations (when available) for the Academy and the Uffizi gallery in Florence.
For the Vatican tour we recommend that you pre purchase tickets to the Vatican by clicking on the Vatican link in order to take the tour at the hour that you prefer. We will provide transportation and Vatican guide if requested.
**The Vatican does not accept pre -reserved entrance tickets on the last Sunday of every month as it is free entrance and therefore, you will surely have to wait in line a long time. If possible we do suggest not to tour the Vatican on these days.

LOCATING our DRIVER GUIDE at the  CRUISE SHIP – AIRPORT – HOTEL.

Your DRIVER GUIDE OR TOUR GUIDE will always be waiting for you at the confirmed location with a sign with your name.
If your are coming in from a CRUISE SHIP your driver or driver guide will be waiting below at your ship’s exit.
If you are arriving at the AIRPORT your driver will be waiting for you after you have entered the main hall at the “Meeting Point” sign. Remember, he does not know you, that’s why he has a sign with your name. Look for him.

Rome Limousines in Rome -- Colosseum Travel are in possession of the juridical  power to perform the activities, and pay taxes regularly on all that is publicized and commercial.

We request confirmation using a valid credit card to confirm  private or shuttle services that begins anywhere in Italy.
Your credit card number will be solely used for the purpose of confirming your reservations (transfers, shore excursions and tours).

All payments to be made with:
- Euro currency cash or
- Euro Traveller’s Cheques 
- USD's at the rate of the day plus changing commission.

 

In case of a cancellation that is over the stated time limit listed. The penalty falls within the rights and codes listed with The Italian Department of Justice.

Cancellations:  by e-mail or fax with more than 48 hours (2 days) for Shuttle and Private Transfer services and 72 hours (3 days) for Tour Services prior to the requested service reservation: NO penalty.
Cancellations: with less than 48 hours (2 days) for Shuttle Services and Private Transfers and 72 hours (3 days) for Tour Services before the time of requested service reservation: FULL CHARGE.

All tours (whether they be three hours, six hours, or a full day) CANNOT be cancelled or reduced on the same day of the tour. We inform that it is possible to finish a tour even after only ONE hour, but the invoice must be paid in full.

To cancel any kind of reserved service without a penalty, it is necessary to contact Rome Limousines at least 48 hours (2 days) for Shuttle Service and Private Transfer Service and 72 hours (3 days) for Tour Service prior to the beginning of the requested reserved service by FAX or E-MAIL and you must receive our notification that we have received and cancelled.

AIRPORT - Once you have collected your luggage and cleared customs you will enter the main hall. To avoid the confusion of all the signs that limo drivers will have scattered all over the main hall, we ask our clients to turn left and go 50 feet to the left to the Meeting Point Sign.  Your driver/escort will be there waiting holding a sign with your name.

Normally due to the slow luggage return service at the Rome airport you should be out between 60 to 75 minutes after actual landing time. Our driver will be at the Meeting Point Sign, which is 50 ft. to the left when entering the main hall of the airport, 45 min.after your flight lands holding a sign with the name shown on your reservation confirmation. If you do not spot your driver/escort immediately please wait.  Your driver/escort will meet you there. If you notice that it is taking longer , please call us Toll free or at one of our numbers so we can contact our driver:

Or you can ask the customs police officer to let you come out for just a moment to advise your driver that you'll be late. If our driver does not hear from you (or from us if you call) he might not wait longer than one hour. After 1 hour extra time will be charged if you do not inform us of the situation. Please remember that the driver/escort is not allowed in the baggage claim area. 

If you experience a long delay , please contact us at the numbers provided above . If we do not hear from you may be charged for the time we have to wait for you at the airport. If you miss your flight or your flight was cancelled and we do not hear from you , you will be charged for the full amount of your transfer (and tour if it was reserved).

If you are departing from a HOTEL your driver will page and wait for you directly in the hotel lobby.

TOUR GUIDES
**Although many tours can be taken on your own with an audio guide, to appreciate and visit the most important sites of our tours we  recommend using one of our private tour guides for the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel and for the site of Pompeii

3 - What is the difference between a TOUR GUIDE and a TOUR ESCORT with a bus with over 8 passengers?

We offer two different services that of course are quoted differently:
a) a bus with driver and tour guide. A tour guide has a license (usually issued by the state / country). He/she has attended "guide" school to learn all about the sites that you visit. A licensed tour guide is allowed to enter and narrate the historical sites with you and tell you the history. Naturally, their services will cost more.
b) Bus with driver and tour escort guide which is training to be a guide but does not yet have the license.
Honestly, their services are most requested since they study a lot and most of them are still at school. They give you more or less the same information that the professional guides. They speak English and are well mannered, however due to strict Italian laws & regulations that protect officially licensed guides, our tour escorts and driving-guides can explain the sights only from inside the vehicle but are not allowed to do so once they are outside the vehicle. Their services cost less than a licensed tour guide.

DRIVER-GUIDE /TOUR ESCORT /TOUR GUIDE:

Although we are proud that our drivers have been given the title “guide drivers” for their wealth of information, we do not permit them to accompany you during your duration in the historical sites, with the exception of an emergency.
It is our pleasure to provide private tour guides for the individual or all historical sites at your request.
Tour escorts also never accompany you into the historical sites, except in case of emergencies.

WILL WE BE CHARGED IF OUR SHIP DOES NOT DOCK AT SCHEDULED TIME?

Of course not, but if the ship does come in late your driver will wait for you and will perform your programmed tour, or your tour will be re-scheduled for when your Cruise does arrive at the Port.
Credit Card charges apply only for “No-Shows” or for not cancelling in due time.

TIPPING:

We do not include tipping in our service rates. Although many American Limo companies do include a 20% tip on their invoice we prefer to leave this up to you and our driver will surely appreciate having done a good job for you.
Normal tips range between 10 and 20 % depending on your satisfaction.
