TOUR n. 21 PISA-LUCCA
 One of our English speaking driver guides will be at your hotel or pick up location with one of our Luxury air conditioned vehicles for your visit to Pisa and Lucca. What a great combination! The historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty and the elegant and refined city of Lucca.
A splendid excursion through the picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty.
 After the panoramic drive, travel along the Arno embankments where the tour proceeds to the Piazza dei Miracoli where you will find the world famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. The Cathedral, an unequalled masterpiece of Romanesque art carried out between the 11th and 12th centuries, the Baptistery and other important monuments. Walk to Piazza dei Cavalieri, where the Scuola Normale resides, one of the most famous universities in the world.
Afterwards we will visit the elegant and refined Lucca - a magnificent city of art. The tour begins with a delightful walk along the famous 16th century walls that enclose the old centre of the city under the shadow of tall trees. There are also visits to the medieval Church of San Frediano, with its large mosaic in a 13th century facade; the stupefying Piazza Anfiteatro, modelled on the ruins of the 2nd century Roman Amphitheatre; the Torre Guinigi, the Cathedral of San Martino, the characteristic antiquarian road, and the Church of San Michele in Foro.
 After spending some free time for lunch, we can enjoy a drive to visit some splendid Villas in the immediate area that surrounds the city. These villas were the summer residences of many of Lucca's most important noble families and distinguished foreign guests.
We will then return to your Florence (or other) location.

- Duration of this tour: 8 hours
- Comfortable walking shoes and a sun hats are recommended.
- Always dress respectfully when visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.
- The vehicle and driver will be at your complete disposal for the entire duration of the tour.
- If you like, you can ask your driver to modify your tour in any way.
- Walking is very limited unlike bus tour where you have to walk most of the day following your guides flag.
- The tour sequence may be changed to avoid traffic or demonstration congestions but will always cover the mentioned sites.
- If you would like to have lunch our driver can suggest a snack bar, restaurant or pizzeria. To avoid unpleasant surprises its always best to inform your driver on how much you would like to spend and the time involved.
 Payments: All rates are quoted in EURO funds. Payment can be made in USD's, Euro, Traveler's cheques or with Visa/ MasterCard/ American Express (add 5% for c/c).
Our rate also includes taxes, tolls, fuel and parking fees. It does not include private guides, entrance fees, city entrance tax for buses over 8 persons, gratuities or meals unless mentioned in our confirmation.
Our English speaking driver will give a general overview regarding the history of the sites and monuments while in the car before you enter. He will allow all the time you need to visit with NO RUSHING as in group tours. By Italian law he is unable to conduct guiding inside museums, monuments, etc.
