TOUR N. 25: POMPEII - SORRENTO - POSITANO
  This tour will begin at your hotel or pick up location in Naples at about 9.00 AM, where one of our English speaking driving guides will meet you with one of the Luxury air-conditioned vehicles of your choice to begin the drive from Rome to Pompeii.
You'll visit Pompeii in the morning (about 2 hrs. if you use a Pompeii guide) and see the fascinating excavations that have been done on this ancient Roman city that was buried under the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Then we'll travel on to Sorrento along the scenic and picturesque coastal road of southern Italy. We can visit some nice shops at a local open market where among many other articles we can shop for specialties like; limoncello, cameos and inlaid wood.
From Sorrento we drive along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to Positano and, descending the winding one-way road, bypassing many local restaurants, we get to the heart of the town - the busy central Piazza dei  Mulini that is connected to a narrow downhill path and a few flights of steps that lead to the seafront. All streets leading to the waterfront are for pedestrians only so we must drop you off at the Piazza dei Mulini. The only way to reach restaurants situated on the beach that serve fish that have been caught the same morning, such as La Cambusa and Chez Black, is to go by foot! These streets also lead to the cathedral, shops selling ceramics, lemons, shoes and "Positano fashion" clothing. Positano is alive at night as well as during the day with exotic nightclubs such as "Music on the Rocks" and various bars and cafés that remain open until the sun begins to rise over the horizon. There is a short walk back uphill in order to return to your vehicle.
Return to Naples in the late afternoon.

- Comfortable walking shoes and sun hats are recommended.
- To completely enjoy your Pompeii tour we suggest hiring a Pompeii guide available at the entrance. Their rate is about 120 Euro for a 2 hour tour (not included).
- The vehicle and driver will be at your complete disposal for the entire duration of the tour.
- If you like, you can ask your driver to modify your tour in any way.
- The tour sequence may be changed to avoid traffic or demonstration congestions but will always cover the mentioned sites.
- Entrance fee to Pompeii ruins is 11 € (euro).
- Pompeii is not wheel chair accessible
- If you would like to have lunch our driver can suggest a snack bar, restaurant or pizzeria. To avoid unpleasant surprises its always best to inform your driver on how much you would like to spend and the time involved.
 Payments: All rates are quoted in EURO funds. Payment can be made in USD, Euro, Traveler's cheques or with Visa/ MasterCard/ American Express (add 5% for c/c). The fee for private guides MUST be paid in cash only (no Credit Cards).
Our rate includes a vehicle and English speaking driver-guide for the entire duration of this tour taxes, tolls, fuel and parking fees. It does not include private guides, entrance fees, gratuities or meals unless mentioned in our confirmation.
Our English speaking driver will give a general overview regarding the history of the sites and monuments while in the car before you enter. He will allow all the time you need to visit with NO RUSHING as in group tours.
