TOUR N. 33: ROME MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS
 With this tour you can enjoy an overview of the best sites that Rome can offer in one day.
Our English speaking driving-guide will pick you up near the gangway of your ship and drive you downtown Rome.
 Your Tour will start at Venice Plaza where Victor Emanuel Monument (the Vittoriano) is located, also called the Wedding Cake by Americans.
Will continue on to the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Arch of Costantine, the Circus Maximus, Capitol Hill, the Palatine Hill and the Ancient Roman Baths of Caracalla.
After all this we will return towards the center of Rome we'll stop for a visit inside the Pantheon,we'll walk through Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, St. Peter's Basilica and the Trevi Fountain
In the afternoon you will be driven back to your ship.
 EXTRA INFORMATION:
- Duration of this daytrip:9 hours.
- Driving time 1'15 min. each way.
- Always dress respectfully when visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The vehicle and driver will be at your complete disposal for the entire duration of the tour.
- Walking is very limited unlike bus tour where you must walk most of the day following your guide's flag.
- If you like, you can ask your driver to modify your tour in any way.
 - The tour sequence may be changed to avoid traffic or demonstration congestions, that are frequent in Rome, but will always cover the mentioned sites.
- Entrance to the Colosseum is 11 € (euro).
- Entrance to the Vatican Museum is 14 € (euro).
- Entrance to the Catacombs is 6 € (euro).
- If you would like to have lunch our driver can suggest a snack bar, restaurant or pizzeria. To avoid unpleasant surprises its always best to inform your driver on how much you would like to spend and the time involved.
 Payments: All rates are quoted in EURO funds. Payment can be made in USD's, Euro, Traveler's cheques or with Visa/MasterCard/American Express (add 5% for c/c).
Our rate also includes taxes, tolls, fuel and parking fees. It does not include private guides, entrance fees, gratuities or meals unless mentioned in our confirmation.
Our English speaking driver will give a general overview regarding the history of the sites and monuments while in the car before you enter. He will allow all the time you need to visit with NO RUSHING as in group tours.
