TOUR N. 38: ROME ON YOUR OWN (only transfers)
 We also arrange one way or return transfers from the Civitavecchia dock to downtown Rome for those cruisers that have already seen the sights of Rome and would like to revisit or discover sights that they missed before. This will be an opportunity to explore the Eternal City on your own.
One of our air-conditioned vehicles will pick you up at the dock at the designated time and will drive you to any point of Rome that you like. You  can go shopping downtown, enjoy a nice traditional Italian lunch, have a gelato ice-cream and maybe explore the streets of Rome at you leisure keeping in mind that most shops are closed on Sunday and Monday mornings and are closed daily between 1.00 - 4.00 pm
You can visit beautiful sights like the Trevi Fountain where a coin thrown in ensures your return to Rome, or visit the Spanish steps, re-visit the Colosseum or visit the world famous Piazza Navona with its' sidewalk cafes' and restaurants. Once in Rome all these sights and more can be seen walking or with local buses.
 EXTRA INFORMATION:
- Duration: about 75 minutes each way
- Comfortable walking shoes recommended.
- Always dress respectfully for visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulder.
- Our vehicle will pick you up at the gangway of your ship and will accompany you to central Rome.
- Entrance to the Colosseum is 11 € (euro).
- Entrance to the Vatican Museum is 14 € (euro).
- Entrance to the Catacombs is 6 € (euro).
Payments: All rates are quoted in EURO funds. Payment can be made in USD's , Euro, Traveller's cheques or with Visa/MasterCard/American Express (add 5% for c/c). For service before 7 am and after 8 pm - ADD 25%.
Our rate also includes taxes, tolls, insurance, fuel and parking fees.
