TOUR n. 41: PISA - LUCCA
 This daytrip excursion is for those who have already visited Florence and would like to enjoy a different tour.
Our driving guide will meet you below your ship near the gangway with the air-conditioned luxury vehicle that you've requested at about 8.00 a.m. and will head directly to Pisa.
The world famous Leaning Tower needs no presentation, but most likely not everyone knows that it was built to be the bell tower of the "Duomo" (Cathedral)  of Pisa and therefore it is only one of the 3 masterpieces of the Romanesque architecture that is called the "Miracle Square". Once there, (if you didn't book over the internet) you can decide if you would like to go up the tower depending on the waiting time.
After Pisa we're off to Lucca, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy (not known by many). Like most cities in Italy it still shows Roman roots and style. Lucca's defensive walls are perfectly preserved and once you've entered you'll feel that you've returned to the past.
Lucca is a city that is a MUST to see and visit with it's many characteristic shops and restaurants. After our visit of Lucca we'll head back to the ship to arrive around 5-5.30 pm.
We'll retun to your ship in the afternoon
 EXTRA INFORMATION:
- Duration of Trip: 9 hours
- Always dress respectfully when visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The vehicle and driver will be at your complete disposal for the entire duration of the tour.
- Walking is very limited unlike bus tour where you have to walk most of the day following a guides flag.
- If you like, you can ask your driver to modify your tour to meet your complete satisfaction.
- The tour sequence may be altered to avoid traffic or demonstrations congestions but will always cover the mentioned sights.
- If you would like to have lunch or quick snack, our driver can suggest a snack bar, restaurant or pizzeria. To avoid unpleasant surprises its always best to inform your driver on how much you would like to spend and the time involved.
 Payments: All rates are quoted in EURO funds. Payment can be made in USD, Euro, Traveller's cheques or with Visa/MasterCard/American Express (add 5% for c/c).
Our rate includes a vehicle and English speaking driver-guide for the entire duration of this tour. It also includes TAXES, tolls, fuel, insurance and parking fees. It does not include private guides, entrance fees, city entrance tax for buses over 8 persons, gratuities or meals unless specified in our confirmation.
Our English speaking driver will give a general overview regarding the history of the sites and monuments while in the car before entering. He will allow all the time you need to visit with NO RUSHING as in group tours.
The rates below are to be considered "all inclusive".
