TOUR N. 5: ANCIENT & CHRISTIAN ROME TOUR
 One of our English speaking driver guides will meet you at your hotel at designated time with the luxury vehicle of your choice to begin our Rome tour.
This 8-hour sightseeing-tour is to discover some of the most important monuments of ancient Rome and many of the beautiful basilica's and churches of Christian Rome. Rome, as capitol of the Christendom since the ancient times, has hundreds of religious buildings.
With this itinerary you will be able to visit some of the most beautiful and significant churches of the Eternal City, extremely worthy for archaeological, artistic, and historical points of view.
 This tour will also take you through many of the most famous monumental and archaeological areas of the city - and on earth. It will allow you to imagine the grandeur and ancient splendour of the buildings of Rome and to form a clear idea of the daily life, religious beliefs and of the role of gladiatorial spectacles in ancient Rome.
This tour will include the following Major sights;
- ST. PETER in CHAINS - ST. JOHN in LATERAN - the SACRED STAIRWAY - ST. CROSS in JERUSALEM - ST. PAUL (outside the ancient walls) and ST.PETER'S BASILICA - CATACOMBS - CAPITOL HILL - ROMAN FORUM - COLOSSEUM - ARCH OF COSTANTINE - PALATINE HILL - CIRCUS MAXIMUS - ROMAN BATHS - MOUTH OF TRUTH.
 EXTRA INFORMATION:
- Duration of Trip: 8 Hours
- Always dress respectfully when visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The vehicle and driver will be at your complete disposal for the entire duration of the tour.
- Walking is very limited unlike bus tour where you have to walk most of the day following your guides flag.
- The tour sequence may be altered to avoid traffic or demonstration congestions but will always cover the mentioned sites.
- Entrance to the Colosseum is 11 € (euro).
 - Entrance to the Vatican Museum is 14€ (euro).
- Entrance to the Catacombs is 6 € (euro).
- If you would like to have lunch our driver can suggest a snack bar, restaurant or pizzeria. To avoid unpleasant surprises its always best to inform your driver on how much you would like to spend and the time involved.
Payments: All rates are quoted in EURO funds. Payment can be made in USD's, Euro, Traveler's cheques or with Visa/MasterCard/American Express (add 5% for c/c). The fees for Vatican guides and private guides must be paid in cash only (no Credit Cards).
Our rate includes a vehicle and English speaking driver-guide for the entire duration of this tour taxes, tolls, fuel and parking fees. It does not include private guides, entrance fees, gratuities or meals unless mentioned in our confirmation.
 Our English speaking driver will give a general overview regarding the history of the sites and monuments while in the car before you enter. He will allow all the time you need to visit with NO RUSHING as in group tours. By Italian law he is unable to conduct guiding inside museums, monuments, etc.
If you prefer an English speaking private tour guide, he/she will narrate from both inside the vehicle and will also enter the sites with you.
