TOUR N.1: ROME MAJOR HIGHLIGHT TOUR
 This is our Classic Rome tour designed for guests that have never been to Rome and would like to enjoy an overview of the best sites that Rome can offer in only one day. If and when possible, we always suggest taking a Vatican City tour (which includes the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica) on separate days, as it involves a great deal of physical exertion.
Our English speaking driving guide will meet you at your hotel with the vehicle of your choice to begin this fantastic tour of the Eternal City.
When including a 2 hour Vatican tour we will call on one of our English speaking Vatican guides so you can completely enjoy the finest works of art in the world inside the Vatican. He/she will also help you avoid waiting in massive Vatican lines for hours.
 If it is possible and you have more than just one day to tour, the Vatican tour can be scheduled on another day (avoid Saturdays) . If you only have only one day in Rome and you want to tour the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel (with our private guide) the tour will include the following sites; Piazza Venezia, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, Basilica of St. Peter, the Vittoriano, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Arch of Costantine, the Circus Maximus, the Mouth of Truth, the Spanish steps, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon.
Your tour will be with one of our informative English speaking driving guides (specialised in touring Rome), that unlike bus tours, will drive you up very close to all the sites to visit with very limited walking. He will give you information on the sites to visit and may help you obtain quick tickets where possible.
 Our rates do not include: entrance fees, private guides or meals unless specified in your confirmation.
If you are taking our Major highlight tour on a Sunday when the Vatican Museum is closed, it can be substituted with the Catacombs and the Ancient Appian Way.
All of our tours can be modified and/or customized (even while on tour) to meet your complete satisfaction. .
The Vatican Museum is always closed on Sundays (except the last of each month), and also on; January 1st and 6th, February 11th, March 19th, April 1st, May 1st, 9th and 30th, June 29th, August 14th and 15th, November 1st, December 8th, 25th and 26th .
 EXTRA INFORMATION:
- Duration of this tour: 8 hrs.
- Always dress respectfully when visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The vehicle and driver will be at your complete disposal for the entire duration of the tour.
- Walking is very limited unlike bus tour where you must walk most of the day following your guide's flag.
- The tour sequence may be changed to avoid traffic or demonstration congestions, that are frequent in Rome, but will always cover the mentioned sites.
- Entrance to the Colosseum is 11 €
- Entrance to the Vatican Museum is 14 €
- Entrance to the Catacombs is 6 €
- If you would like to have lunch our driver can suggest a snack bar, restaurant or pizzeria. To avoid unpleasant surprises its always best to inform your driver on how much you would like to spend and the time involved.
 Payments: All rates are quoted in EURO funds. Payment can be made in USD's, Euro, Traveller's cheques or with Visa/MasterCard/American Express (add 5% for c/c). The fee for Vatican guides and private guides MUST be paid in cash only (no Credit Cards).
Our rate also includes taxes, tolls, fuel and parking fees. It does not include private guides, entrance fees, gratuities or meals unless mentioned in our confirmation.
If you prefer one of our licensed English speaking private tour guides, he/she will narrate from both inside the vehicle and will also enter the sites with you.
