TOUR  N. 8 -  PISA  &  LUCCA

One of our English speaking drivers will meet you at your hotel or pick up location with the vehicle that you have requested to begin the drive towards Pisa and Lucca. What a great combination! The historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty and the elegant and refined city of Lucca.

A splendid excursion through the picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty.

After the panoramic drive, travel along the Arno embankments where the tour proceeds to the Piazza dei Miracoli where you will find the world famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. The Cathedral, an unequalled masterpiece of Romanesque art carried out between the 11th and 12th centuries, the Baptistery and other important monuments.

Your driver will find a nice trattoria along the way where you can enjoy a traditional local Italian meal, pizza or salad.

After lunch, we can enjoy a drive to visit some splendid Villas in the immediate area that surrounds the city. These villas were the summer residences of many of Lucca's most important noble families and distinguished foreign guests.

We will then return to your Florence (or other) location.

EXTRA INFORMATION:

• Duration of this tour: 8 hours
• Comfortable walking shoes and a sun hats are recommended.
• Always dress respectfully when visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.
• The vehicle and driver will be at your complete disposal for the entire duration of the tour.

Payments in cash with Euro currency or with Euro Traveller's cheques directly to our driver .

* Tips are not included in our rates and are not mandatory.  Normal tipping ranges between 10-20% depending on your satisfaction.

Our rates DO NOT INCLUDE: private guides, entrance fees, or meals unless mentioned in our confirmation.

Our driver will go at your pace and will allow you all the time you need to visit with NO RUSHING as in group tours. By Italian law he is unable to conduct guiding inside museums, monuments, etc.
