Our English speaking driver will meet you at your Hotel or pick up location with the air conditioned vehicle that you've requested to begin the 2 1/2 hour to the unique city of Pompeii. We suggest, if possible, making pick up time between 7 - 7.30 AM to avoid intense morning traffic leaving Rome.

Overwhelmed by the eruption of the Vesuvius in the year 79 A.C. the city of Pompeii has for centuries captivated archaeologists from all over the world.

Digging slowly and regularly since 1748 until the discovery of temples, theatres, homes completely fixed in their action when they were submerged by the volcanic flood.

The historians have now made the city completely returned to the light.

• Comfortable walking shoes and sun hats are recommended.
• To completely enjoy your Pompeii tour we suggest hiring one of our English speaking Pompeii guides or renting audio guides.
• Entrance fee to Pompeii ruins is 11 € (euro).
• Pompeii is partially wheel chair accessible.
• Return to Rome in the afternoon
